One wiper doesn't work

Arrow One wiper doesn't work

Driver side windshielf wiper works fine. Passenger side wiper only twitches. like it wants to move more but it won't. You guys got any suggestions?

if theres nothing blocking it, i would say check the wiper motor

It could be the linkage assembly or the nut on the wiper arm is loose. It could also me that the wiper are is striped out. Check the nut first if that tight i would pull the arm off and see if its striped. If its not than check the assembly. Always start with the easyest stuff first.

Those are definitely more appealing possibilities.

Try just teghtening the nut first. It needs to be tight but not super tight. If that doesn't solve it, take the nut and arm off, turn wipers on and watch if the shaft is moving. If not, bad linkage.

There is one motor that works both wipers. I think on the 97 the motor is on the drivers side and moves that one first, then the two wipers are linked together.

the wiper arm is stripped out , looks like someone tried to reapir before and didnt put original nut to secure wiper arm with, that needs to be replaced as well. i go from theree
