Default Opinions needed on a 97 ex coupe

Hi there, I have a 1997 civic ex coupe, 1.6 vtec, auto, air, yada yada. I have 155k on it and just had it into the dealer today for an oil change and refrigerant recharge (small leak at compressor). Anyway, I got a huge laundry list of items that are in need of repair on the car...both front and rear struts/shocks are leaking, timing belt due(only been on for about 60k but has been 7 years), ac compressor repair, cv joints/boots, valve adjustment, all of which total about $2200-2400. I only had them do the coil change for today and while driving it today after i got it back I started hearing a clicking/rattling noise coming from somewhere near the left side of the engine that sounds like an impact driver(think rapid metal on metal clicking). It is an intermittent sound that is not suspension or wheels because it did it while stopped at a stop sign also, so it is something engine or transmission!!! Ok, here is where you opinions come in, is this car worth putting the money into (it books for about 2700-3000 in my area or should I cut my losses and start looking elsewhere? The thing doesn't have that many miles and I would think it would continue to run for a long time, but this is a lot of money in repairs. What do you think?
