Default p0325 code need help!!

Hi everyone,
I recently rebuilt my d16y8 engine in my 96 honda civic ex. I upgraded the rods and pistons and bored it out .020'. I had to replace the old knock sensor with a new one because it got damaged while removing the engine. After I got the rebuilt engine in the check engine light illuminated calling for a p0325, knock sensor input. I checked the wiring and disconnected and reconnected the sensor and the code kept reappearing after a couple drive cycles. I don't know if the sensor or wiring is bad or what. I don't conclude that the sensor is bad because itkeeps tripping the cel. I can only hear the engine knock at 2000 to 3000 rpm when the engine is not under load. Also when I stop the engines idle surges up and down from 900 rpm to 1500 rpm back and forth. After a while it settles down to 900 rpm or so. I also recently have started to experience the tach needle jumping around 3000 rpm only in 5th gear though. The engine doesn't feel like it is surging like that. I think the dizzy might be causing that, but im not sure if that would trip the knock sensor too or what. If someone could please give me some useful advice I would greatly appreciate it. I'm not looking for an answer like : take it to an auto tech or something like that.

Are you having any electrical problems, such as flickering lights?

Regarding the bouncing tach, open up the distributor and inspect the blue wire attached to the ICM. The connection might be loose or corroded. If not, the ICM itself might be the problem.

For the surging idle problem, try cleaning the IACV (see DIY section) and bleeding the cooling system of possible trapped air.

For code P0325, you probably have a damaged or loose wire in the KS circuit. Here's how to troubleshoot:
