Default Passenger Side Window, NEED HELP ASAP!!!

Ok, so I was rolling down the street and decided to put my windows down, but when I put them back up the passenger side one wouldnt go up so I was like WTF???[:@] Anyways I took it to get looked at and they said that the window came off these pieces that hold it so that it can go up and down. Well they tried all day with different types of glue to get the window to stick to the pieces and they all failed. So they said that we need to order a whole new window. I thought this was BS because honda must have used glue the first time they put the window together and why cant it be done again? I kinda think its stupid that this problem went from maybe a 100 bucks to now costing over 400. And I would have to get that window tinted again to match the car....So LAME!!! Does anyone have any insight to a diff. solution than the mechanics? There has to be a glue that will hold the window in place. Any help would be great. Thanks

-Connor

Theres no glue that holds the window there. Its held by rails on the side. Theres a do it yourself on here of how to take off your door panels and fix those rails to get your window back on right.

Heres what you have to do (you probably dont need a new motor, and only need a new regulator if the window keeps on falling off the rail)

yea they said that the regulator was out of wack...so you think they might have not replaced it and thats why it kept falling off?

Yeah they were probably putting it back on but it kept on falling off, but theres no glue involved so i wouldnt go back to that person to fix it. Try doing it yourself, all you have to do is take off the door panel, then unscrew a screw at the frontof the door on the bottom. and try to get the window lined up in between the rubber. (might not make sence but when you see it in person you might get it)

Does the motor work at all like does it try to put the window up? Is it manul or auto windows? I had the same problem with my drivers window. After taking the door panel off it was pretty easy to fix. There's two bolts that hold the front rail in place (the rubber that the glass slides up in down in). After taking off the bottom bolt I was able to slide the rail back and after using silicone spray and sliding the window up and down was able to get it back in place. Than just retighted the bolt in the exact place it was befor and works fine now. But if the window is missaligned than you might need a new window regulator. And if the motor is burnt out than you'll need a new motor.

its pwr everything. they said that the regulator need to be fixed. They also said (now quoted) that there are some sort of clamps that are glued onto the window, which i thought to be total bs, and it seems my theory is being proven. It just doesnt make any sense that a new window will fix any problems. Again thanks for your input it is greatly appriciated. Now I have some amo for when I go in tomorrow lol!

ha ha lol my window had problems last night. i thought it was the regulator or motor but it turned out it was out of the track. putting the door panel back on the door is the worst part. the weatherstripping by the mirror is messed up.
