Default Performance, next step?

I got a 98 civic EX (stock engine) and am wondering what the next step should be performance wise. Ihave an AEM short ram intake, and a magnaflow cat back exhaust so far on my ride.

I have kind of a tight budget so I could dish out like a couple hundred or wait a few months then get something major like $500.

I was thinking about unorthodox or AEM underdrive pulleys but, reading up on it I'm kind of worried about the extra strain it might put on my engine. And If I just get one pulleyfor the alternator, or what not. It probably wont be worththe hp gain. I was also thinking a better throttle body, or a header but I don't really have the money to gamble with if they don't all gell together for this engine or my other mods.

I'm probably going to upgrade my intake to a v2 AEM one, also does anyone know ifthe v2 isa cold airintake for this model car? Thanks.

Suspension. You'll have a lot more fun with a nice suspension setup than you will with a new header, 100% garaunteed

I really like the sound, it's a deep robust sound which is what I was going for. My girlfriend hates it and wants me to put a silencer on it, but I love going up hills in 3rd. I do feel a little gain with it. Wouldn't the suspension just effect the handling of the car?

Yes, and that makes the difference between sluggy as a bus or tight like a Formula 1 car.

Does it also lighten the weight of the car? Is that why it would be less slugish? I could see a better suspension helping with conoring, and bumps.

Intake manifold, header, suspension...

Suspension would be less sluggish in that there's less body roll. You'll be able to take bends a lot faster, it's fun as hell.

Damn Skippy!!! That was the first thing I ever did to mine. Then I did the brakes. Theory being, make it safe to drive at high speed, then make it able to reach high speed. LOL

But yeah, do as Lord Forty04 says young naive.

LOL Sorry. Long night and no sleep.
