PLEASE HELP!!!

Default PLEASE HELP!!!

hi, i just bought a 99 civic ex coupe the drivers door panel has a hole in it (the passenger window had a brick thrown through it, the old owners fixed it though) anyway the power door locks work on the passenger door, but do not work on the drivers side door but when i push the button i hear a sound like the drivers side door is trying to lock but isnt registering or something? but i can lock it everytime from the outside if you have any suggestions please help

could it just be that the rod inside the door isnt connecting the door lock?

You will probably have to take the panel off to make an assessment of it. If I were you and was going to do it myself, I would do some research on it first. If you don't have the time and knwledge I would just bring it to a mechanic, the dealership would probably charge a lot so I would find a local guy that you know is good.

If you want to attempt to do it yourself use the search function at the top of the page. Make sure to to research on your generation vehicle because it is probably a little different for other models athough probably not too much.
