Default Please Help Me!

I have a slight problem. On occassion when I come out to my car there is condensation on the inside of my windshield. I'm not sure how this is happening but now that it is getting cold out it has become a bigger problem because now its like frost on the inside. I turn on the defroster and when it starts to melt the frost water is all over my dash board. Has anyone else had this sort of problem, or any ideas to help solve the problems. Any suggesstions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem for a while. I think it arises when the cabin isn't sealed enough against the outside air. Never really found a way to fix it though.

As mentioned above, check the windshield seals. This is better done in a warm garage, or outside during the summer: Have someone spraying plenty of water over the top edge of the windshield (around the weather seal and trim), while you watch inside the car for water to zip through the seal. If you find the spot, you have two choices to get it fixed. You can do it yourself, which can be difficult if you don't know what RTV silicone to use and how, or take the car to a windshield repair shop. It should not cost very much, since all it takes is removing the trim that covers the seal, applying a sealant (a special all-weather black RTV Silicone), and then reinstalling the trim.

Something else that produces condensation inside the automobile is a coolant leak in the heater core. However, if any coolant leaks there, you should be able to smell antifreeze when you turn the heater on.

Hi with a 2004 I dont think you have a hole in the car . I would install baby diaper under my floor mat to soak up any water
from snow on my boots .; If they fill up with water I would say you found the problem MN
