Hi

My Civic is 6 years old and the Plip (remote control) buttons are falling apart. Does anyone know where I can get new buttons / case / plip. Naturally I wish to avoid the extortionate £80 that Honda wish to charge me for a new one (This includes re-configuring the immobiliser for the new plip). Electrically there is absolutely nothing wrong!

i never heard of that word: plip.
but then i am still driving the ones before that "high tech" stuff was around; or is that a British word?

they are going for 4 bucks over on ebay. but then ebay is (as always) buyer beware. the one i saw, in fact the only one for honda is for the Odyssey.

maybe something will show up soon - if you are wanting to do the ebay thing.

 

The word "Plip" is peculiar to the car industry, I used to work for MGRover, before its untimely demise. Ebay? So may of my friends have been fleeced by Ebay, (one for £2500!!!!!) that I do not wish to go that route. I am looking for pattern parts.

i hear you about ebay. prefer to keep any purchase to a small amount (unless i find something within driving distance (to pick up)).
