Is the power transistor and the blower motor resistor the same thing?

 

It is a part that does the same thing (control power flow to the blower motor) but with different technology. I think Honda switched from a resistor design to a transistor starting in 2001. The transistor is mounted in the ductwork behind the glove box just like the old resistors were.
