Question: oil pan removal-front exhaust?

89 civic hatchback. I'm trying to remove my oil pan to clean it. The manual says the front exhaust must be removed but I can't seem to get the bolts off. I'm afraid I'm stripping and bending them. Anyone successfully get their oil pan off? Also, any advice for how to loosen bolts w/o breaking? I've tried WD40, and also heating and cooling them. I don't have a lift or compression tools.

There's this stuff called PB Blaster. Works well on seized bolts. Comes in a spray can like WD40.

Some Spray Lube and a breaker bar will do....Let the Lube set for a few minutes before using the breaker bar. BTW before putting those bolts back, soak them in motor oil so it'll be easier next time you deal with that area.

Wont the motor oil just burn off after a few minutes, when the exhaust gets hot.
I know that works on just about everything but exhaust but i don't know

Chances are they are rusted all the way through. Unfortunately you might have to break them to get them off... PB Blaster/WD40 can only work so deep.
