i have a 1996 gsr on my ej8 with a p28 , what the hell is OBD ??? and can someone tell me which obd is it 1 or 2 ? im going to order my new engine this week and it doesnt say anything about obd but it does say its from 94-97

OBD is a self diagnostic system that facilitates troubleshooting of certain engine and electrical system problems.
I believe that 1996-current Civics are equipped with the more modern OBDII system, whereas 1995 Civic models and earlier (1988?) have the less sophisticated OBDI system.

well heres my dilema , theengine that i currently have is a 96 gsr with a p28 ecu and the one im going to be ordering its from 94-97 but it doesnt say wheather is obd1 or obd2 and its a jdm not usdm. the one i have now its a usdm or b18c1. my question is can i just plug and play ? or do i need anything else for the swap?
