how come my fan in the front of my car that cools down the engine makes a humming noise when it kicks on> how can i get rid of that humming noise...its loud and annoying!!! do you think if i bought a new fan it would do the same? its not my radiator fan i do know that

 

The other fan is the condenser fan for the A/C. More detailed information would help. Can you distinguish whether the noise is coming from the motor or the fan blades, or possibly because the entire fan assembly is loose and therefore vibrating?

Also, what year is your Civic?

 

it would be a lot more to your benifit getting a faster reply if we knew what the year and model is

if fan is in the frt of the car than it must be 84-87 civic ,, and that is the a/c condernsor fan ,, if noisy, it might start going bad ( worn out ) ..
