Question Radiator Relay Switch not working? Best fix?

My car overheated yesterday---radiator is a couple of months old. I filled both radiator and reserve bottle with coolant, and fan would not turn on even though temperature was high.

the radiator relay with is located under/behind the coolant bottle has power to the receptor, but not the part the actually plugs in to the receptor. for a temporary fix, added a manual power on/off switch to control the fan.

Anyone know how to fix this part or even if that part is really the issue? I am thinking that because the voltage test showed electricity in the receptor, but no conduction from the plug in part, then there is a bad wire or something happening.

My honda is a 2000 honda civic dx coupe with 160,000 miles.

The switch is on the thermostat housing, where the lower radiator hose meets the engine. Unplug the switch and jumper the two wires in the plug. Fan should then start immediately when you turn the key on. If it does, test drive that way and make sure it doesn't overheat. If it's OK then replace the switch. If it still overheats with the fan running constantly, you have another problem like a bad thermostat or clogged radiator.
