rear lower control arms

Default rear lower control arms


when my son flipped 97 ex it bent two bars in the rear. I think these are lower contol arms, but some other site called them compensable bars?? Both bar are thick and I need to know if they can be heated and bent. Tried using a vise and hammer to straighten out some but didnt work. I know these have to have a certain amt of cure to them. Aay ideas on where I could get the specs on the curve of the bars incase we can get them to bemd. Also, how much do they cost at a junker and can they come off another type car. What years are interchangeable with that type of repair Thanks

I wouldn't reuse those. It's integrity has been compromised. Think of this, if you bend a spoon in half and bend it back, it'll still be in one piece, but now it can bend easier.

The lower control arms should be the same in models 96-00.

At a junkyard they'll probably charge you 5 bucks a piece MAX. If they want more, then they are dicks.
