Awesome, will do. I was kinda skeptical since it wouldn't work at all with the front switch making me think I had a wiring problem. New one on the way. Thanks!

that's what we are all about. I'm not sure if the front switch has slightly different wiring during to the auto feature.

Hey, I just picked up a used motor and regulator for $50. It looks like hell compared to mine... a real piecer. There's a little bit of rust on it and I just have no clue how long the used one will hold up. The local shop in town charges $150 which I can't afford, and the first three parts distributors online sell motors for all three windows but the one I need for a low $50. Anyone have any advice on where I can get a better condition motor for cheap, or would ya'll say I should stick with the crapper I got?

Ok so I'm in window hell, hehe. I'm hoping someone can help me troubleshoot this further. Let me provide a fast summary: rear driver side window stopped working; took out regulator and motor, test motor and it only worked spinning one direction with the switch on the rear driver side door, HOWEVER, it would not spin at all with the front driver side door switch; bought a used motor / regulator from a junk yard, it would not spin either direction so I took it back; bought a replacement used motor / regulator, tested it and like my original, it spins one direction, but not the other direction using the rear driver side door switch, and does not spin at all using the front driver side door switch.

This makes me think I have some type of electrical issue going on towards my rear driver side door. Could anyone please help me with some pointers on where to begin searching for the problem? I don't understand why the switch controlling the rear window operates the motor halfway, while the front switch won't operate the back window at all.

are you using the front driver's controls or the one in the rear door? it might be the switch that has gone bad.

download the manual found at the link in my signature and see if you can test it. It think it is a fairly simple test if you use a multi-meter.

Sorry, I think my post was a little confusing. So basically, when my rear driver side door started failing, I'd leave the motor installed in the rear door, and the switch on the rear door would allow the motor to turn in one direction, but not the other. Then, while leaving the motor installed in the rear door, I'd try to use the switch on the front driver side door (one of four window switches on the front driver door) and it wouldn't move the motor in either direction, or even make so much as a noise.

Now, when I installed the new motor in the rear driver side door, the same symptoms occur: the switch on the door itself moves the motor one direction, while the "master switch" on the front driver side door doesn't move the rear motor at all. It's like there's some sorta short going on; since both the original motor and the newer motor I purchased only spin one direction, the problem can't be the motor in my eyes, and I can't see how it'd be a switch (though maybe if the rear window motor switch is failing, the front driver side door would fail to control this window?).

Is this something where I can pull the switch from my other rear door and connect it and see if it fixes the problem?

Anyone know a place to get a window switch? I've tried auto part stores and used / junkyard resources in the area. Only alternative thus far is spending over $50 on the switch through a dealer... I'm hoping maybe someone knows of an online vendor that is good with that type of thing.

Can someone help me pleeeaaassseeee? I want to put my door back together and make my window work. I found a rear right hand switch on ebay, though I need a left hand switch. Could I just unscrew the switch from this ebay listing and screw it into the left side?
