Default Removing rear door inner panel

The child lock is on, and the door handle is broken. I need to be able to remove the inner door panel for the rear driver side door, which is stuck in closed position to replace the door handle.

If I was able to get the door to open, then I can google for the rest of the instructions.

Any idea how?

Your kinda screwed there but first try opening the front door and see if you can get to the hinges for the back door. If you can take the bolts out and open the door some to pop the door panel back some to engage the door handle. Might work if not rip the door panel off, pop the door open and buy a new panel....Good luck

take to a lock smith or somebody and have him jimmy it open. This exact thing's happened to four out of four civic back doors.....the guy i took it to had both doors opened in about five minutes.
