Default 91 Civic starts won't run???

So my cousin bought a 91 Civic it ran fine for about a week then this: The car will not run. It starts just fine but as soon as you let go of the key it dies. The car has spark and fuel. Any idea where to start looking?

That site was my go to when my 91 was having starting issues. Good luck.

Sounds like an ignition switch problem.

Any CEL codes?

Start it, let go of key and see if the oil and battery lights come on after it dies. If they don't, it's almost certainly the ignition switch.
