replace 02 sensor on 95 civic

Hey,

anyone know how to replace the o2 filter on a 95 civic...the check engine light came on...i took it to the mechanic.....he did the engine code test and said that the o2 sensor code keeps coming back....he wants 3bills for the job.....I wanna do it my self......any info on how to change it would be great.

It's a reasonably straightforward job. Let engine cool. Disconnect the sensor connector. Remove exhaust manifold cover. Unscrew the sensor from the exhaust manifold. I purchased a special O2 sensor socket that helped with the latter step. Coat threads of new sensor with some anti-seize. Install in reverse order.

Make sure and not to get any anti-seize on the actual sensor. A lot of the o2 sensors already come with anit-seize on the threads.
