Does this circuit diagram help you?

The wire colors you mention don't all match those in the circuit diagram (e.g., Is your GRN wire actually the BLU wire to the tach and your YEL/GRN wire actually the WHT/BLU wire? Also, where is your WHT ground wire?). You might be able to use the circuit diagram in conjunction with the other pictures to trace each wire to the appropriate component.

According to the last circuit diagram the white ground wire is actually white/blu. That makes more sense. The only other thing I could think of is that i already screwed up the wiring and caused a short. I am going to reinstall the igniter and try it again.

In the last circuit diagram, WHT/BLU actually connects the coil and the igniter unit.

I'm trying to figure out which color wire is ground for me since i don't have a white wire.

If you can confidently identify the WHT/BLU, BLK/YEL, YEL/GRN, and BLU wires by both color and component connection, then the remaining wire should be the ground wire by process of elimination.
