Default rough idle

i swapped motors for my 94. i put in a stock d15b7. i got it running and took it out for a ride today and i was letting it run in my drive way for a little bit and it began to idle up and down up and down. i checked all fluids and everything is good. i think it may be a sensor... maybe the TPS? any other ideas???

Is the CEL ON?

If not, this symptom can be caused by a dirty IACV, bubbles in the coolant system, or an intake air or vacuum leak.

Retrieve the CEL code as described here:

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/1901557

Clear the code and, if the CEL returns, retrieve again to determine if it is the same. The speedometer problem is possibly a faulty Vehicle Speed Sensor, which may be confirmed by the CEL code that you retrieve.

For the idle problem, try bleeding the coolant system:

ok so i went out first thing. it ran strong and no problems for a while. i took it out for a ride and the CEL came on. so i turned around back to my house. i restarted the car and the CEL was gone. then i came back during my next ride. and i restarted the car it it was gone. and it seems the car only idles up and down when the CEL is on. but if i turn the car off and on the idle levels out. i think it may be the Vehicle speed sensor. any other sugguestions

Retrieve the CEL code as detailed in the link of my earlier post. Even if the CEL is OFF, the code is stored in the ECU.

First verify that the speed sensor is malfunctioning:
