rusty flywheel

I have a flywheel that's been sitting out in the weather and its rusty. Is there a way to get it cleaned up and reuse it? like is there any chemical solution or process of doing so?

should i be using that flywheel after i clean it? will it be safe?

WD40 and a scrub brush. then get it resurfaced.

That will work fine as long as its fine grit.

yep. just some sand paper at least 200grit... only 2 spots that needs to be rust free is the clutch area and the bolt locations. everything else is nothing but cosmetic...

but if the clutch area is ruff or scared any then take it into a shop to get turned so the area is in perfectly smooth and flat!

just take it to any auto shop and they'll fix it?
