on a really high mileage motor, I only use an ounce or so in the intake, then drive around a while, then do a little more. do that a couple times gradually, since if you knock too much carbon buildup off too fast, its possible to get a chunk of it stuck somewhere it shouldnt be and cause damage. but if you ramp up to the normal amount, it should be ok. Ive had nothing but good luck with it, its just a precaution.

A buddy turned me on to this stuff. You can use is as a cleaner in pretty much any part of your engine! If you look at the back it tells you what to do with it to clean certain parts. I've done my intake, I've put it in my oil, and put it in my fuel tank to clean everything out. I believe it says to be careful on high-milage cars, but it shouldn't hurt it if you do it slowly like sacicons said. Definately improves the idle, and can help a very little with acceleration once the craps cleaned out of the valves/etc. ++1 for seafoam!

ya just about any auto store will have it and i've seen it at a couple hardware stores and such. i still have like 1500miles(maybe like 6 weeks) till my next oil change. so ill be sure to try out the sea foam about a week or 2 a head of the change time and ill get pics and let u guys know how it turns out. i kinda cant wait cuz i really want my idle to be a bit smoother and my engine to be healthier.
