Default seat belt light

I "had" the same problem that robber had. The cluster light would flash even if all the seat belts were clicked in. I solved it by taking out the bulb in the gauge cluster. Probably not the best solution but it works for now. The person I bought it from had a piece of electrical tape over the plastic piece.

Does anyone know how to permanently fix it?

Broken wire somewhere. or a poor connection only way to diagnose it would be to follow the wires all the way through the car

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM IN MY 91 CIVIC. THERE IS A BOX BEHIND THE RADIO ON THE FLOOR THAT HAS TWO WIRE HARNESSES GOING TO IT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I FORGET WITCH ONE I UNPLUGED BUT I THINK IT WAS THE ON CLOSER TO THE FIRE WALL AND JUST LEFT IT UNPLUGED FOR A MONTH OR SO AND THEN FIGURED I WOULD SEE IF IT STARTED AGAIN. AND SO FAR IT HAS NOT. ITS BEEN 3 MONTHS NOW. IT DOES STOP THE BLINKING AND THE BUZZING BUT YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO PUT THE SEATBELT ON MANUEL. IT MIGHT NOT TAKE THAT LONG BUT I UNPLUGED IT FOR 10 MIN. OR SO AND IT STARTED AGAIN, SO I JUST LEFT IT UNPLUGED. I HOPE IT WORKS FOR YOU.

There's a switch in the belt buckle, start there. The wire goes under the carpet behind the seat. Umplug there and see if the circuit closes with the belt buckled.

If that's OK could be the control module, you could replace it with one from a parts car or open it up and resolder the board inside similar to doing a main relay.
