Default Servicing the injectors

Hi all, does anyone know how to or if possible to check the injectors, clean them and make sure they are ok. I have a 1.6 ESI auto ( 93 - 38000 miles), just a general perception im after cos this summer im gonna go all over the car and check it out, as a side question, how do you check the Lamda sensor (02 ?) thats on the manifold, just wondering if it needs replacing seeing as its been on since new ( 13yrs), cheers all
