Ya when I got my car I didnt think this was normal till I posted about it and it is pretty normal. Just shift into first before reverse, or just hold your clutch down for about 3 seconds then try put it in reverse.

i usaully just tryandput the car in reverse and if it doesnt work the 1st time thanill ease off the clutch a little bit than the gear stick usuallyjust falls right in the reverse slot and start to reverse.
