Simple Rear Suspension Question
Simple for everyone else.
I'm going to replace my rear shocks and coils since they are over 10 years old (1998 Civic LX). My question is:
Do i have to get the rear wheels aligned after installing the new shocks/coils?
Or does that only need to be done with control arms??

RE: Simple Rear Suspension Question
If you're lowering the car, alignment should be checked. When you're just replacing stock for stock that would be no problem. Unless something is wrong with the spring itself (broken or sagging), it can be reused on a new strut.

RE: Simple Rear Suspension Question
Thanks, thats one of the reason's i'm replacing them. The shocks are old, but the left spring is shorter or sagging and has been for 3 years.
So can i keep the right spring and just replace the left spring and both shocks?
Do i need an alignment then? Since the spring has been sagging for so long.
