So I have a leak around the valve cover
First let me say that I may have saved myself any serious engine problems by wanting to try out the new E3 plugs. I bought them today, was going to install them tomorrow in the day, but decided to do them tonight.
Well I notice a leak around the front left corner of the valve cover. Checked the oil, nearly dry. Maybe the synthetic oil helped keep my engine running close to normal a little longer than regular oil?
If I didn't change the plugs, I don't know when I would've checked the oil next, but it probably would've been too late.
My question is, do all I need is a new valve cover gasket and some gasket sealant? I figure I could do this myself in a short time if that's all that's needed.
Or is this a head gasket problem? I look at honda's site, they show a simple valve gasket below the valve cover for $7. Autozone shows head gasket, but they're $40.
