i should add that the odometer doesnt work also when the speedo isnt working. it seems to be correlating with the temp of the motor. cold motor speedo and odometer doesnt work, warm motor they both work.

Odometer and speedo not working at the same time out of no where would prove to be a VSS issue. Do you get a CEL for the VSS once it quits working?

well i just purchased the car from my boss. and the cat was removed years ago, so the cel is on for that.

is there anyway i can take a volt meter to the sensor to see if its working?
