sometimes when i start up my car, the speedometer doesnt want to work. about 1/4 times it doesnt work. the speedo kicks in about a minute or 2 later, but id like to know why its sticking... it annoys the h*ll out of me. could it be a loose wire somewhere? or could it lead to a wayy bigger problem?

 

It's probably the speedo part of the gauge cluster itself. Suggestion: replace the cluster.

 

^ +1 Had the same issue before, just got an EX cluster and fixed it right up

 

is there a check engine light could be the speed sensor. my buddies did the same thing we just sprayed his speed sensor plug with electrical cleaner and it works great since. try that before replacing the cluster,it wont hurt. it costs next to nothing
