Sorta New.
Hey guys whats up.
I used to be the proud owner of 99' DX Hatch (RIP). About a month ago some crazed woman ran a redlight and tboned be at about 50mph totally by beloved hatch. anywoo i had to get a new ride so naturally i went with a honda, 00' ex sedan to be exact. i love the thing so far but only two thing bother me about it. first thing is the car has those gay *** pinstripes on it, how can i saftly remove these without damaging the paint. second thing is it has like gay *** metal looking molding around all the windows, is it possiable to saftly remove these as well. thanks in advance guys.

RE: Sorta New.
welcome aboard!
sounds like you got some "gay ***" problems on your hands
My buddy and I removed the pin striping from his Plymouth Laser. I dont know if you've ever seen the extent to which plymouth went on those stripes, but it was a nightmare. On a lighter note tho, it most certainly CAN be done, and if done correctly it will look good.
The best time to do it, is on a HOT day in the summer, when the glue is at its weakest. OR, you could always use the ol' hairdryer trick, but thats quite time consuming (If you have access to a heat gun, that can work to, but keep it on a low setting and go back and forth in a fluid motion so you don't weaking the wax/clear coat and or paint.). Basically, just be careful when peeling them back, AND DO NOT USE A RAZOR BLADE. I saw someone trying to do that, and needless to say, he ended up with 5 solid slits in his paintjob before he quit...idiot.
Anywho, like I said, just use caution, take your time, and you'll be just fine. Don't worry about leaving excess glue on the car when pulling off the stripes. You can always use Goo Gone, and a little elbow grease to get rid of that later.
Hope that helps!!
