Default SRI install ?'s

I have tried with the DIY section but that installation is for an older model of the same car as mine. I just recently purchased an SRI, but it instructs on installation to drain a gallon of coolant before starting, where do I do this from? I dont know which one is the breather hose and the water bypass hose Ive uploaded a picture to help distinguish which is which thanks for all the help!!

All I can tell you is the breather hose is the hose that connects to the valve cover... that's all I know (gotta love 5th gen civics... only one hose going to the intake lol)

drain the coolant form the bottom of the radiator. theres a little wingnut looking thing that you loosen to drain it. can you post a pic a little further out? i can probably help if i can see where the hoses run. its been too long since Ive seen a honda with the stock intake the coolant one goes from near the thermostat to the throttlebody, and the ones that run into the stock intake hose should hook up to the new piping.

you don't have to drain anything. I have the same setup, I didn't drain a thing. I checked the coolant level afterwards, but don't drain.

remove air filter box and tube(connected between air filter box and intake manifold) attached to it. Then remove any hose connecting from the valve cover/back of engine to the tube(same tube you're going to remove between air box and manifold).

Look at the hard plastic hose you remove so you know which hose goes where. Attach the correct hoses from valve cover/back of engine to short air intake, mount it, done.

yeah, its pretty straightforward. I think its a lot cleaner to take out that metal piece and replace those hoses with full length rubber ones. just get a few feet of hose from the parts store and a few hose clamps, then replace them one at a time. you probably dont need to drain any coolant, though you will lose some when you disconnect that hose.
