Default SRS code 53, what is it?

I couldnt find it anywhere online. Anyone know what it means? I recently had the dealer install a new airbag, was a factory recall. Just 2 weeks ago, and they told me that to access the SRS code (SRS light was on) it would be $75.00. Gees- I just had it in there for a new airbag recall!! Could those guys at least reset the code and let me know that it is not the newly installed airbag?!!! No! Ripoff the customer for another fee.

I retrieved the code wit a paper clip. Anyway, any advice appreciated.

OK, just found out it is this:

Internal Failure Of SRS or
Supplemental Restraint System Unit. Check Battery System Voltage, If Voltage Is Low, Repair 12 volt power or VSS feed circuit Prior
To Troubleshooting SRS or Supplemental Restraint System.

But that is so vague to me. Is that maybe the seat belt system?

The SRS unit is an actual SRS computer that's located under the dash. See if the conection on it is corroded. Do so with the battery removed cause you know...airbags.

Duhh, I think I answered my own question- the connector has to be the yellow clip which I shorted with the paper clip to retrieve the srs blinking code, right?

here:

If so, and there is no other connector to the airbag computer, it appeared to be free of corrosion.
