I would like to know how to reset the SRS light on my 2002 civic EX. Thank you

 

easy way, disconnect the battery form the positive terminal for a about 5 min. resets the ECU altogether...another way is there's a fuse the fuse box under the hood, it does does the same thing. you pull the fuse and resets eveything...but im not sure which on it is on yours..

 

I tried that and it did not work. Is there anything else to try.

 

Theres a self-diagnosis system in the SRS unit. If you light is coming on, them there is a malfunction in the system.

 

Found a sequence for resetting the light and it worked. Light is no longer on. Thank you

 

Umm, maybe you could share that sequence with the rest of us, so that we know also.

 

Id get that checked since when that light comes on it means that your airbag wont deploy.

 

Yeah that sequence would be great, I hate looking at my SRS light.

would it be to much to ask where you found it . the link does not work any longer . i need to know how to turn-off srs on a 96 civic. no air bag was deployed but, it did take a little jolt . which is why i believethe sensor wentoff.
