Starter Shims

Default Starter Shims

anyone know if there are suppose to be starter shims on our starters, Mine is a 97 honda civic ex, get a grinding noise every once in awhile

No there are no shims used. With the starter removed, you can turn the engine by hand and inspect the flywheel gear for damaged teeth.
