Default Stereo deck and plastic "holder" stolen ...

I have bought a new Pioneer deck but I have nothing to install it into!

When they stole the deck, they must have taken whatever it was screwed into. I've been told it is a plastic "cage" like object. I do have the steel structure that is part of the centre console, its the plastic stereo deck "holder" that I am missing.

What is this "thing" called ? (I need to describe it to my local Honda spare parts dealer)
Does anyone have a photo of it ?
Does anyone have a spare ?

Cheers
Steve

I have a Honda Civic 4th Generation hatchback (1988-1990)

No, I have done that and the car audio store said they would need to build something from scratch ... time consuming and expensive.
There is a Honda made plastic cage that fits the centre console perfectly (screw holes line up & fits the console space, that once fitted takes a standard deck)

There is no "off the shelf" cage that would fit this space, apparantly.

Anyone seen one of these ?

Thanks Sky Tanker
So what got stolen is what the stereo deck is actually screwed to (behind the console)

If u look behing the console, you will see metal cross bars etc. - well the stereo deck is screwed to a plastic "cage" that itself is screwed to the metal console ...

That is what is missing ... I have the console - as in your pic (they didn't steal that!)

Cheers

Oh, sorry. Mine doesn't have that bracket you're talkin' about. The radio on mine basically sits on the A/C controls! You could just go to the H dealership. They have a computer that they can look up what you need and they have pictures/names for everything. Just describe where it is, what exactly you need...Which brackets...and they should be able to figure it out.
