Default STUBBORN DRAIN BOLT IN ENGINE BLOCK FOR COOLANT FLUSH!!

I have a D16Y7 and this drain bolt is right next to the oil filter! Has anyone taken it off recently?this thing is a bitch!!

It wouldnt come off so I left it, and drained the coolant from the rad drain. Whydoes it say to remove this drain bolt in the engine block(in the service manual), when you have to apply siliconeand justscrew it back on?? To release the air???

Like I said I just drained it from the rad and retightened it and followed the next steps!!

I have a d16y7 to man but I have no idea what your talking about. Theres nothing near the oil filter, pick up a haynes manual at your local auto store for $15 and it tells you step by step how to change it.

You're going to be OK. If you used a bunch of water to flush everything out there's no need to remove that drain plug. It is handy if you're going to ship or store the engine to get all the water out but otherwise don't mess with it. On the little D15B's, it's on the front (exhaust) side of the block.
