Obviously, the TPS was not designed to be replaced alone. The service manual states that the whole throttle body must be replaced. Nonetheless, I have read that some individuals use a Dremel tool to score a straight line groove into the bolt heads and then simply remove the bolts with a screwdriver.

RonJ speaks the truth, dremel is the way to go.

However, if you do not have a dremel, you can do what I did... Pull the entire throttle body off, and clamp it to a table. Then, carefully, use a hacksaw to cut the straight line into the screw heads.

Remember, when you attach the new TPS, it MUST be calibrated to work correctly.

How do you remove the 4 bolts holding the throttle body to the intake? Neither side has a head on it, just nuts on the TB side. How do I remove these studs?

Why do you want to remove the bolts? Maybe they just hammer out like wheel studs do?

You just take the nuts off, and remove the throttle body. The studs will stay in the main manifold part.
