timing tensioner bolt hole stripped

Default timing tensioner bolt hole stripped

i have a 94 honda civic vtec and the timing tensioner bolt hole is stripped the person that had it before me already went a size up on it and now its stripped can i weld a threaded rod in it. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this

Helicoil is the word come to my mind,,,,,

I would go helicoil first like maachan said, before welding

its already been re tapped for a large bolt and now that hole is stripped can i still use a helicoil to go back to factory bolt
