Hey guys this is my first thread.
I have a 2000 civic ex with a auto trans. After i am driving around awhile and the car warms up sometimes it will feels like it is shuttering around 35mph and 45mph. If i get off the gas or on the gas it will go away. It only happens after it is warmed up. Any ideas of what it could be?

This sounds more like a problem with the engine. If the transmission is slipping it would get worse with more gas. the engine would rev up a lot but the car wouldn't go any faster. Is the check engine light on?

 

There is no CEL. The light does work tho. I figured i would ask since i have the motor down to the bare block right now to do a few things to it.

 

No one else has any ideas what could be going on? I know this isnt my first post. It seems like when someone gets on here and there first post get alot of answers real quick.

 

Hey silver2000civic, the same thing happens to me. but at around 25 mph.
people have told me that it could be the spark plug wires, but im waiting till my next tune up to get new ones.

 

I would think that would set the CEL. But maybe not. I guess once i get it all back together ill replace them along witht the plugs, cap and rotor. Thanks for the reply DaOne.
