Default Transmission fluid question

went to honda today and bought 2 quarts of manual tranny fluid. changed the fluid which calls for 1.9 quarts. poured it in till it started pouring out a little. my question is when i stuck my finger in the filler hole i couldnt feel any fluid, does this mean it needed more? i only bought 2 quarts so i didnt have anymore to add, should i have felt it at the filler hole end?

i couldnt feel any like where the threads were, i stuck a screwdriver in and there seemed to be about an inch in before the fluid left a mark on it, do it need more? i mean i did add the required amount.

Well since you did add what the manufacturers recommend, I would assume you should be ok. Its just a rule of thumb I use. Maybe just keep an eye on it.

+1, did you buy the pump that has the curved metal piece to fit in the hole?
