Default True or false??? Type R ECU

Is this true about the following item....I own a 00 Si. Will a type R ECU give more power compare to an OEM Ecu.

[ul][*]used item for Jdm Civic Type R PCT ECU B16B OBD2b [*]take out fromcivic type r2000 model [*]will fit to obd2b socket harnesswiring , see ecu socket for more infomation , will fit toCivic Si 2000 model directly , gain extra horsepowerby just installing this ecu , [*]5 Speed manual , out fomrB16B Type R 185 ps engine , [*]REV limit Till 9200rpm , vtec switch over are stock point 6200rpm , [/ul]

But will i get more power with the Type R ECU....Besides not passing smog in California.

Is there other problems it may cause by installing this ECU like running richer fuel and messing up my 02 sensors and cat

you may get a littlemore power but that ecu is geared towards high compression and high lift cams so it would not be worth it unless you had atleast the cams

I have some adjustable cam gears But you are talking about the Cam Shaft right????/

no you would need slightly higher compression and type r cams

I have some adjustable cam gears But you are talking about the Cam Shaft right????/
"high lift cams" are not the same thing as "adjustable cam gears"

LOL...Yes, Cam and Cam gear's are totally different! You have your cam shaft/s either SOHC or DOHC and in your case you have a DOHC. Then you have your cam gear's, which are used to adjust timing and so on.

It's not worth buying the ECU cause for one, your from CA and from what I have heard the laws are strict. Two, you won't be gaining much, if any, without the proper upgrades.
