Depends on your model year. It's real easy to unscrew the 3 screws and pull the plug on the motor, but whether the motor/fan assembly can readily come out of the car without binding on the floor depends.

i was gunna say leaves i have had to clean mine twice!! Lots of trees with small leaves around the house.

ha mine is like that too. i took apart the dash 3 times, but couldnt find the problem. it only happened when i set it to defrost or the feet setting. on a 98, is it hard to take out? and where is it located? thanks...

On the extreme right side of the car,under the dash. You should not need to take the dash apart, the motor comes out the bottom.

Default Clean but still rattling

I pulled the blower, cleaned all the crap out of it, and, without reinstalling it, plugged it back in, held it in my hand and turned it on. It still rattled. By changing the angle slightly, I could make the rattle get loud or soft. Is there any way, she asked with little hope, I can somehow tighten whatever is rattling?

With it off, can you wobble the shaft back and forth? That would mean the bearings are bad and you need a new one.
