Cool Viper 5002 or the Viper Responder 350?

I have a 1998 Honda Civic EX Sedan.
Which alarm should I get, the Viper 5002 or the Viper Responder 350?
Thanks.
Joseph

i'm more of a clifford guy so i recommend the clifford 50.5. although the viper is good as well since they are both by DEI. I mainly dont like their remotes, but the good thing for viper is that it comes with an extra remote

if you don't care about remote start, then I would do the 5002. its has a biggest range out of the viper security systems.

if remote start is something you might want, then look into the 5701 or 5901.

viper is a good choice. it is what I carry at the shop i work at, and I will never recommend anything other than Directed Electronics security products to anyone. The are very high quality and very reliable if installed properly.

I would get the 5901 because the remote looks slimmer, more sleek, and better display design. That's actually the one I want. If you don't want remote start, just don't wire it up.

the paging system is defiantly hands down the best way to go!
tho IMO im done with dei alarms. i used to use them all the time. and i just dont like there paging distances from remote to vehicle!
my cheaper ebay asianwolf alarm works at least twice as far as my old dei viper python and another i cannt remember off hand. this is the one ive used in 3of my personal vehicles and 2 friends vehicles and so far i havent had any problems with them! best of all they come with 2 paging remotes and even cheaper than dei alarms.
IMO a alarm is only as good as its installed!
you must hide all of the wires under the dash and mount the alarms brain out of sight and secure so it cannt just be ripped out. heavy duty zip ties work great!!!!

i still have that taplock system to install in my truck just as a last resort way in my truck.
i plan on pulling my python system from my truck since its paging distance sucks so bad!

Well if you had a DEI Python, that's probably the cause of the crappy range... Python is one of their lower series of alarms. A DEI Viper alarm would have better range than the Python.

i do have a viper in my dads suburban and it seems just as bad. sometimes you gotta get right up on the truck before it disarms or arms. and yes i have the antena wire not bound up just like they recommend but still not that good. and the main thing i hate about the ones i bought they only come with 1 remote. a extra remote cost about 80bucks more

That's odd. I always considered my Viper keyless entry to have excellent range for what it is. I would expect their 2-way alarms to have excellent range too.
