Well, considering that a sensor in your instrument panel can't really measure your speed, I would guess that the problem is likely with the sensor in the tranny. Good luck with your issue.

I have the same problem and the solution was that my speedo cable was broke and i needed a new one. They are like $30, from the stealership.

I have a similar issue, except mine works sometimes and the times it doesn't it reads 30kmphno matter how fast i go, i heard it could be the spped senors or a bad connection on the link for the sensor in the engine, but iahevnt fixed it yet. i am hoping to get it fixed when i take the car home during Xmas. Good luck with your BTW

I fiddled with my sensor last night nd took it out of the tranny. I unplugged the wire from the sensor and cleaned the trminals as well as the sensor itself. I put it back in and guess what. SHIM SHAM BIM BAM BOOM?! It works. i dunni what i did but it worked. oh and now i know how fast im going now. always good to know that i guess.
