Default Water getting into car

Hello all, I am new to the forum and need help with water ingress. I have a Honda Civic 2 door hatchback 1997 that has water getting into the car. It accumulates in the passenger footwell and does not seem to drip from anywhere I.E. from the roof. It only seems to get in when it rains as I was on holiday and the car was parked up, when I left it was bone dry and on return there was a puddle inside it and as the car had not turned a wheel it cant be comin from underneath. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks. Andy.

I have the same problem, 95 Civic LX. Anyway, I checked under the carpet to see if there was a hole in the floor or something. No holes. For me, I am guessing that it is from the windshield. It's been replaced but leaks water onto the inside. Bad seal job. So, I think it's leaking water from the windshield seal, down along the inside of the firewall and onto the floor.
Have you had your windshield replaced?

Windshield is definitely a possibility. Another one is your sunroof, if you have one.

also check round the front lower corner of the door, my 96 has worn out door seals and after a good bit of down pour I notice lil drops of water around the kick pannels on either side.

It might be worth confirming that the wetness is from water and not from anti-freeze. If it's anti-freeze, you have a bad heater core which will make a mess on the passenger side.
