After driving my girlfriend's 03 civic I was amazed at how weak the stock headlights are. She has a hard time seeing at night so something needs to be done. Has anyone run into this as well and if so what did you do? I am thinking getting some better bulbs (Sylvania Silverstars or PIAAs) but I'm open to other ideas.

 

make sure they are aligned properly. get them aimed, that could make all the difference in the world. though civics arent known for ultra-bright headlights.

 

Well, the older ones (4G/5G) actually have brighter headlights than most other cars I've driven recently. Maybe they shrunk them later on... I dunno.

Could the lights come this way right from the dealer. She has had the car since new and never ran it into anything. The lights don't look off, they just aren't very bright.

 

Time for some HIDs is all I can come up with

 

a bad ground could cause weak headlights.
