Default WEIRD battery light comes on when I hit the gas...

hey guys. Recently had all the belts changed when I changed the alternator that crapped the bed about 6 months ago. Here recently the battery light keeps coming on. It happens whenever I hit the accelerator. Not when I'm idling, hitting switches, etc. It's just when I accelerate and it flashes off and on rapidly. Any ideas? I just checked the belt tension and it's tight as the day put it on. Thanks for all the help.

did a little redneck diagnostic to see if it's the alternator and flip flopping between it and the battery. I pulled the batt cable and let it idle which it did just fine... then when it rev'd up to where it started flashing again and the moment it started it dropped out completely until I let it idle. Sounds like the contacts in the alternator are bad and aren't doing their job at higher rpms? hope that also helps with anyone ever having this problem...
