My integra has a weird idle problem... b18a1... turbo... the basics...

here goes... when the car is cold, it idles around 3500 for a minute then starts to bounce between 3500 and 1000, when warm it will bounce between 500 and 2500. After a while it will idle with a little movement between 11 and 1200... if you touch the gas at all it goes up to 3500 and comes back down.

Last week it did this and the guy clamed it was the injector seals. now it's doing it again, sorry for the bad explanation, but could someone give me an idea of what this is??? please, thank you.

 

Usually when your idle bounces like that, you may have a vacuum leak. Check around for broken hoses. Was any other work was done before the injector seals?

 

also check your idle air control valve. when it's clogged it will cause your idle to act up.

 

i have the exact same problem...but my car is not running right now sooo..ahah

 

The whole top end was re-done. And i can't find and leaks... i tried using a spraybottle and everything. I read somewhere that because the throttle will stick for a few seconds... it's the fast idle valve? So i'm going to look at that and clean the iac off as well. Thanks for the info. I hope it works... it gets a little annoying city driving with a screwed up idle... lol
