M car was idling at 2k at cold start up and i found a thread on how to clean the fast idle valve. I pull it off and its super drity so i clean it and put everything back on. so i start it up for the first time of the day and it idled at 1400 cold start up so i guess it worked but now when warm car is idling between 1000-1100. Im 100 percent i put everything back on right ive done it plenty of times. What could it be. Also would like to add i cleaned the tb as well bc it was sticking real bad.

Did you also clean the IACV?

Is the throttle cable adjusted too tightly?

 

no everything was fine till i cleaned the valve. i read somwhere that it can be ajusted mabe i didnt screw it in right?idk. no codes i took throttle cable off and no difference. idk if this is related to my previous problem where i couldnt set igntiion timing to 16 degrees. mabe my idle was messing up bc of the valve and now since it working properly timing needs to be advanced. like i said everything was working till i pulled tb off an cleaned that valve.
