i recently bought a civic 1992 16v single carb engine.
the thing is, whenever i put the foot on full pedle, or the car goes near 3k rev, i smell like car is burning more feul, something like when the car smokes but there is no smoke to be seen.
especially when the AC is working, the smell goes more...i tried to check for any leaks, but there is non..
any idea?

The car is probably running too rich... Meaning the fuel mixture is not adjusted properly. Iff you are not familiar with carbs let a shop tune it. Hope this helps.

 

i also thought the same...it could be the carb...i will try to find someone to repair it
